Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This AUP forms part of the Terms and Conditions of codebank.online and applies to all users, including sellers and buyers.

1. General Principles

codebank.online is a neutral marketplace enabling independent developers to sell digital products such as source code, software components, and templates. To ensure a safe and compliant environment, the activities below are strictly prohibited.

Note: This AUP is distinct from our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy and focuses on user conduct and acceptable use of our services.

2. Prohibited Activities

(a) Illegal or Regulated Activities

  • Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Sale, distribution, or promotion of gambling, betting, lotteries, or similar activities.
  • Drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia.
  • Weapons, firearms, explosives, or related accessories.
  • Pornographic, obscene, or sexually exploitative material.
  • Activities relating to terrorism, organized crime, or money laundering.

(b) Intellectual Property Violations

  • Uploading, selling, or distributing content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights.

(c) Fraudulent or Harmful Practices

  • Scams, phishing, impersonation, or identity theft.
  • Uploading or distributing malicious software (e.g., viruses, trojans, ransomware).
  • Offering cracked, pirated, or unauthorized software.

(d) Misuse of Platform Services

  • Manipulating rankings, ratings, or reviews through false transactions or feedback.
  • Circumventing platform fees or payment processes.
  • Using codebank.online to promote external services that violate this AUP.

Additional Prohibited Activities & Responsibilities

  • License Key Misuse: Users must not share, distribute, crack, or otherwise misuse license keys provided via Codebank.
  • Multi-Build / Compiler Abuse: Users must not exploit compiler containers or multi-component build features for spam, unauthorized computation, or other malicious purposes.
  • Payment Abuse: Users must not commit fraud, perform chargeback abuse, or use payment methods for illegal purposes.
  • Security Disclosure: Users must not exploit security vulnerabilities. Any discovered vulnerabilities should be reported responsibly to support@codebank.online.
  • Age Restriction: Users must be at least 18 years old to use the platform.

3. Seller Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate product descriptions and lawful digital content.
  • Ensure all uploaded code complies with applicable licenses and does not include unauthorized third-party material.
  • Respond to buyer inquiries and disputes within 24–48 hours.

4. Buyer Responsibilities

  • Use purchased products in compliance with the seller's license terms.
  • Do not redistribute, resell, or misuse purchased code in violation of the seller’s license or applicable law.

5. Reporting Violations

If you believe a user is violating this AUP, please report it through one of the following channels:

We will review all reports, investigate the claim, and take appropriate action, which may include removal of content, suspension of accounts, or permanent bans.

6. Enforcement

Violation of this AUP may result in:

  • Suspension or termination of your account,
  • Withholding or reversal of payments,
  • Legal action, if necessary.

7. Amendments

codebank.online reserves the right to update this AUP at any time. Updates will be published on this page with the effective date.
